I’m back!

Hello,
It’s nice to see some more names since I have been away.
I want everyone to know that I received the correct sized pads, and will be starting treatment again in a few days.
In Mid-January I will be making a new video addressing all of your concerns, so if there is anything you would like me to include and you haven’t already asked me, now is the time!
I’d like to point out that one of our readers has noticed a small difference in the fold of his ears in just four weeks!
I find that amazing, and it makes me even more excited to get going again.
Joel, we encourage you to post any pictures you have!
Ciao for now,
Megan

Before I get on that plane…

Two more things I was doing incorrectly in my videos:

1.  When applying the strips, the top part of the ear needs to be folded against itself to create that fold I was talking about earlier,  not pressed against the head. The bottom part does press against the head.
2. The protective spray should be applied before putting on the strips.

I decided I’m going to make a new demo since I made so many mistakes in the last one.
You can look for it sometime in the beginning of the year.

Cheers!

Megan

And we move along!

Well…I’m not going to lie. It’s been a little bit of a rocky start.

At first I didn’t know how to use the clams.
This delayed my video a bit because I had to ask Sorribes if they were used in tandem with the strips, or by themselves.
They reported back that I shouldn’t be using the clams unless they tell me to.
The clams are only for very heavy cartilage. I would definitely check with Sorribes before attempting to use this product.

Then we have the silver Clips. As I pointed out earlier, I was using these incorrectly at first.
Once I got the hang of it, everything about how the system works started to really make sense to me…
Except I was in a little pain after sleeping with the clips and didn’t understand why.
I took a good look at some of the models on sorribesonline.com, and realized that the pads they were wearing were much larger than the pads I was using.
Sorribes had sent me the wrong sized pads. I cannot use the child size due to the exposure of the silver against my ears.

So my journey is put on hold. I won’t be starting on Sorribes again until December 26th, as I am going out of town tomorrow, and the product cannot arrive that quickly.
My next blog post won’t be until January 2nd. I am not sharing photos this week, as there hasn’t been enough progress to judge.
I will leave you with my first impressions about the products, and the company as a whole.

The Good
1. Lightning fast shipping
2. Excellent customer service
3. Absolutely no pain when using these products correctly.
4. I like being able to see what my ears will look like when I’m done with treatment.
5. You can’t tell that I am wearing them.
6. The skin protective spray really does prevent irritation.

The Not-So-Good
1. I don’t feel their instructions are as clear as they need to be- though customer service is willing to help with any issue.
2. You have to be very precise with the strips. Incorrect placement means a sticky mess. Then you need to wash and start again.
3. Long hair and the strips are not friends. At the end of every day I have to gently pull all of my hair away from the strip, losing a few hairs in the process. Even if I wear it up.
4. So far it’s been tough sleeping in the clips. I sleep on my side, and when I put my ear on the pillow it gets sore from the pressure- though that may be because I don’t have the right sized pads.

But hey, if this means I can get “corrected” ears without otoplasty- count me in! So we will see…

Happy Holidays!
Megan

Quick correction!

Hi guys!

I just wanted to make a quick note about my third video “The Clips.”

Much to my chagrin, I didn’t place them correctly! The clips are important because they shape the antihelical fold that is missing from most prominent ears.
I will give you a thorough demonstration next month when I do an update video, but for now I have posted a diagram I got from Sorribes when they explained this to me.

Cheers,

Megan

Almost all of us are born with a physical characteristic that we’re not quite happy with.
I will never forget something my grandmother said to me when I was seven years old:
“You’re a very pretty girl, Megan. It’s too bad about your ears.”
It was the first time anyone had pointed out my “problem”, but that comment led to 15 years of hiding my ears from the world.
They are large, they stick out, and they are somewhat oddly shaped.

It took me many years to wear my hair up or back.
I never wanted to go swimming with my friends because my ears seem the most prominent when my hair is wet, and tucked behind them
Although I am an adult now, and I know my ears don’t define who I am, a part of me still prefers that they be covered. I am usually most comfortable with that.

I have thought about surgery to get my ears corrected, but I am scared to death of a blood test, let alone going under the knife, so that really isn’t an option for me.
Then one day I was surfing the internet for alternatives in correcting prominent ears, and I came across Sorribes.
Sorribes is comparable to correcting teeth with braces, but for your ears!
This method is very intriguing to me, so I contacted Sorribes for more information!

I wanted to walk you through my experience with Sorribes so everyone could see first hand how it works. I am very excited to try this product, and I will be happy to answer any questions along the way.
More to come!
